Horeb Cares is broken into 5 different departments
1. Horeb Home Care (Minor home repairs)
Our Horeb Home Care department is created to offer minor home repairs to seniors/low to moderate homeowners who are in
need of receiving minor home repairs at little to no cost to the homeowner. We’ve currently replaced a few water consuming toilets to the new water conserving toilets for residents of Lancaster, TX
2. Horeb Health (mental care, physical care, marriage counseling)
Our Horeb Health department is currently offering marriage counseling classes with hopes of starting mental health counseling and physical health services in the near future.
We also currently have 5 certified mental health professionals.
3. Horeb Wealth (Financial Literacy Services)
We are currently reworking our Horeb Wealth department and will continue, in the near future, to offer financial literacy classes. Other classes we are looking at adding are business plan writing, wills and estate planning, tax education, home buying seminars and college and career classes.
4. Horeb Help (Bill assistance)
Our Horeb Help department is currently offering bill assistance to Atmos Energy customers. We’ve paid over $35,000 of bills last year and Atmos Energy has given us an additional $20,000 for further assistance through our CDC. We’re planning on expanding to other service providers in the future.
5. Horeb Hands (Food Market and item giveaways)
Our Horeb Hands department has secured partnerships with The North Texas Food Bank, The Shirley Charles Foundation. Our Horeb Hands Food and Goods Market is operating weekly Sat-Mon 10am-2pm. We also have a Huge Community Giveaway once per quarter where we giveaway food, clothing and household items and appliances. We’ve already serviced over 2,000 f
